Sandolo Pescheria Ristorante

$$ Corso Battellieri, 28, 9014, Carloforte

Sandolo was born on the island of San Pietro in the southwest of Sardinia, in the charming seaside village of Carloforte, a town of Ligurian origin. The restaurant is close to the Nautical Institute of Carloforte. It overlooks the characteristic port to fully enjoy the view of our sea for a relaxing lunch or a romantic dinner. The company's history began in 1948 when the young Orlando, born in Ponze, after a short period in Alghero, decided to go to Carloforte to fish for lobsters and coral. The town immediately turns out to be welcoming, hospitable and supportive towards Orlando, so much so that he decides to stay with the whole family. He later became a collaborating member of the "Cooperativa Pescatori San Pietro"; after an extended period, Orlando, his sons Mario and Silverio founded the "Cooperativa Pescatori San Silverio". In 2010, a small food shop was added to the fish shop and a refreshment point specializing in seafood dishes, ranging from typical Carloforte recipes to other innovative and unique ones, such as our main dish, "fettuccine with tuna heart and yellow cherry tomatoes". Today, it is Orlando's grandchildren who, with passion and commitment, carry on the family business.
